Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Little Ratel website, products, and services (collectively, the "Services").
Little Ratel is a brand operated by Docscope AI Inc. ("Docscope AI," "Little Ratel," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using our Services, creating an account, uploading content, placing an order, or otherwise interacting with Little Ratel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or otherwise have legal authority, to use the Services, create an account, place an order, or submit content through the Services.
If you use the Services on behalf of another person, family, organization, or entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.
2. About the Services
Little Ratel provides personalized children's book creation, customization, ordering, and related services. Our Services may include online editing tools, image and text uploads, content generation or formatting tools, preview functions, order management, printing coordination, fulfillment, customer support, and related features.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, in our sole discretion.
3. Account Registration and Security
You may be required to create an account to access certain features.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that contains inaccurate information, is used in a misleading or unauthorized manner, or otherwise violates these Terms.
4. User Content
"User Content" means any content you submit, upload, enter, generate, transmit, or otherwise provide through the Services, including names, photos, text, stories, dedications, artwork, images, design choices, and other materials.
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights you grant to us in these Terms.
By submitting User Content, you grant Docscope AI Inc. and its service providers, contractors, and fulfillment partners a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, modify, format, process, transmit, display, print, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content solely for permitted service-related purposes.
You acknowledge that some processing may be carried out by third-party service providers that support hosting, storage, payments, printing, shipping, analytics, customer support, or technical operations.

5. Your Responsibilities for User Content
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of submitting it.
You represent and warrant that the content you submit satisfies the following requirements.
We are not responsible for reviewing whether you have the necessary permissions, licenses, or consents, although we may choose to review or remove content in our discretion.
- You own or control all rights necessary to submit and use the User Content
- Your User Content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, moral, contractual, or other rights of any person
- You have obtained all required permissions and consents from any individual whose personal information, image, likeness, or content is included
- If you submit information or images relating to a child, you are authorized to do so
- Your User Content is accurate to the extent relevant to the Services
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws
6. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You must not use the Services to upload, create, submit, or distribute prohibited content.
You must also avoid conduct that interferes with the platform, other users, or our business operations.
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to reject, remove, block, or refuse to process any content or activity at any time and for any reason.

- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- Viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful scripts
- Misleading or deceptive content or impersonation
- Sensitive personal information not reasonably necessary for the intended product
- Content that exploits or harms minors
- Attempts to interfere with or disrupt the Services
- Bypassing or attempting to bypass security measures
- Scraping, crawling, copying, or harvesting data without authorization
- Commercial resale or white-label use without written consent
- Any use that could damage our business, systems, reputation, or other users
7. Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order at any time, including due to suspected fraud, suspected unauthorized activity, production limitations, pricing or listing errors, supply issues, fulfillment constraints, or violations of these Terms.
Order confirmation does not guarantee acceptance, availability, shipment timing, or error-free production. We reserve the right to contact you for verification, clarification, or correction before processing any order.
You are responsible for reviewing your order details carefully before submitting an order, including spelling, names, photos, personalization details, shipping information, and any previewed content.
8. Personalized Products and Production Risk
Little Ratel products are customized and made based on the information, materials, and selections you provide.
You acknowledge and agree that customized products may vary slightly from on-screen previews and that image quality, color, cropping, alignment, print appearance, layout, and manufacturing tolerances may affect the final result.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving the content you submit before placing your order, and we are not responsible for errors that originate from information, spelling, formatting, image choice, or other materials provided or approved by you.
We may, but are not obligated to, flag obvious technical issues such as image quality concerns, formatting issues, or production limitations.
9. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website unless otherwise stated. Prices, product offerings, shipping fees, taxes, discounts, and promotions may change at any time without notice.
You agree to pay all applicable amounts, including product charges, shipping, duties if applicable, taxes, and any additional fees disclosed at checkout.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We are not responsible for errors, delays, charge failures, or other issues caused by payment processors, banks, card issuers, or payment networks.
If a payment is reversed, disputed, charged back, or declined after an order is placed or fulfilled, we reserve the right to suspend your account, recover amounts owed, cancel outstanding orders, withhold future services, or pursue any lawful remedy.
10. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk
Shipping and delivery estimates are approximate only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to production timelines, carrier delays, customs processing, weather, supply chain issues, address errors, or events beyond our control.
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. We are not responsible for delays, losses, or delivery issues caused by incomplete or incorrect address information supplied by you.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, risk of loss and title transfer to you upon delivery to the carrier or, where applicable, upon delivery to the shipping address provided in the order.
11. Returns, Refunds, and Replacements
Because our products are personalized and made to order, all sales are generally final once production has begun.
We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind, customer spelling or content errors, dissatisfaction with content choices made or approved by you, differences that are minor or inherent to custom printing, or delays caused by carriers or events beyond our reasonable control.
If your order arrives with a manufacturing defect, printing defect, damage in transit, or the wrong item caused by us, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide reasonable supporting information, including photographs where requested.
If we determine, in our sole but reasonable discretion, that the issue is attributable to us or our production partners, we may choose a remedy.
If an order has not yet entered production, we may, in our sole discretion, allow cancellation or modification. Once production has started, no cancellation or modification is guaranteed.

12. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the website, branding, design elements, software, page layouts, editing tools, workflows, text, graphics, logos, visual interfaces, and all related content and technology, are owned by Docscope AI Inc., its licensors, or its service providers, and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, sell, license, reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit any part of the Services except as expressly permitted by us in writing or as required by applicable law.
"Little Ratel" and related names, logos, marks, and branding are the property of Docscope AI Inc. or its affiliates and may not be used without prior written permission.
13. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, comments, or feedback regarding the Services ("Feedback"), you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable right to use, copy, modify, publish, implement, and otherwise exploit that Feedback for any lawful purpose without compensation or obligation to you.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.
15. Service Availability and No Warranty
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docscope AI Inc. disclaims all representations, warranties, conditions, and guarantees, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral, including any implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, compatibility, accuracy, quality, security, uninterrupted access, or error-free operation.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that the Services will meet your expectations or requirements, that previews will perfectly match final printed products, or that any product, output, shipment, or result will be available within any specific timeframe.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Docscope AI Inc., its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, licensors, fulfillment partners, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunity, savings, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the Services, any order, any product, any delay, any shipping issue, any user content, or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services, any order, any product, or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the specific order giving rise to the claim or CAD $100.
The limitations in this section apply regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, equity, or otherwise.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Docscope AI Inc., its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, licensors, fulfillment partners, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to the following matters.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.

- Your infringement or violation of any rights of another person or entity
18. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services or your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, we suspect fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or security risk, if required by law, a court order, or a regulator, if a third-party provider relationship changes, or if continued provision of the Services is no longer commercially or operationally feasible.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before termination, including payment obligations, indemnities, licenses granted, limitations of liability, or any provisions intended to survive termination.
19. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing any obligation under these Terms where the failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, labor disputes, supply shortages, utility failures, carrier disruptions, cyberattacks, government actions, war, civil unrest, or failures of third-party systems or providers.
20. Governing Law and Forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Subject to any rights you may have under applicable law, you agree that any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, and you attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
21. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
23. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sublicense any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
We may assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time without notice, including in connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or financing transaction.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Docscope AI Inc. regarding the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, communications, and proposals relating to the same subject matter.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
